What is RIS-3279-TOM?

It’s imperative to ensure that railway workers are supplied with sufficient workwear to keep them safe and visible while they work. Formerly recognised within the industry as GO-RT 3279, RIS-3279-TOM is a high visibility standard that applies only to the railway industry within the UK.

The aim of the RIS-3279-TOM certification is to ensure that all railway workers are sufficiently visible to any trains or traffic approaching at speed.
