Disease

When working in a job where preventing the spread of disease is an issue, i.e. in the food preparation industry where diseases such as salmonella are a potential risk. Hygiene based strategies must be implemented to stop this spread. Water borne diseases such as legionella can be lethal and are found in places (both work and domestic) where water is kept at a temperature warm enough to encourage growth, places where this is likely including; cooling towers, condensers and spa pools. This disease is contracted by inhaling water droplets which have the disease contained within them and have been incubated between 20 degrees and 45 degrees.
